Whatcom County Fire District #17

WCFD#17 proudly serves the residents of Sandy Point Shores, Sandy Point Heights, Neptune Heights, Neptune Beach and western portions of the Lummi Indian Reservation. We are comprised of twenty highly trained and dedicated men and women that operate seven pieces of apparatus from two stations including two licensed transport ambulances and a Fire/Rescue boat.

Station 56 is located at 4332 Sucia Dr in the Sandy Point Shores area. Station 57 is located at 3685 Prevost Way in Sandy Point Heights.

Effective Friday, July 12th at 8:00am all land clearing and yard debris fires in District #17 (Sandy Point) are hereby suspended. This stage one burn ban is due to the dry and atmospheric conditions and will remain in effect until further notice. Recreational camp fires less than 3 feet in diameter are still permitted in an approved enclosure. For more information on outdoor burning call the Fire District office at 384-1480.
