Whatcom County Fire District #17
WCFD#17 proudly serves the residents of Sandy Point Shores, Sandy Point Heights, Neptune Heights, Neptune Beach and western portions of the Lummi Indian Reservation. We are comprised of twenty highly trained and dedicated men and women that operate seven pieces of apparatus from two stations including two licensed transport ambulances and a Fire/Rescue boat.
Station 56 is located at 4332 Sucia Dr in the Sandy Point Shores area. Station 57 is located at 3685 Prevost Way in Sandy Point Heights.
Effective January 1st, 2020 the fire district will no longer be permitting yard and beach debris fires. Only recreational camp and beach fires consisting of either charcoal or split dry firewood and in an approved enclosure will be permitted. It is important to know the rules and regulations before burning as the fire district does charge for illegal burn responses and those costs can become very expensive. For more information on outdoor burning call the fire district office at 384-1480.
OUTDOOR BURNING INFORMATION – PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ALL OUTDOOR BURNING IN FIRE DISTRICT #17 IS NO LONGER UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE WHATCOM COUNTY. SEE PAMPHLET.
