Sand Available at the Marina for Sandy Point Class A Members
Prepare Now for Potential Flooding
Dear Sandy Point Community,
The Sandy Point Improvement Company has proactively purchased a large quantity of sand and made it available free of charge to all Class A members at the marina (near the launch ramp) for sandbagging and flood-protection purposes.
In the past, the county has provided both sand and sandbags, but they only do so after flooding has already begun. To help our community be better prepared ahead of any event, we wanted to ensure sand is accessible now, before it's needed.
Please note: We are providing the sand only. We do not have sandbags available. Sandbags can be purchased at many local hardware stores, home improvement centers, or online. (Many members have found good options on Amazon that suit their specific needs.)
We encourage everyone to take advantage of this sand while supplies last and to secure your own sandbags as soon as possible so you're fully prepared.
Thank you for your understanding and stay warm!

Pickleball Update
Pickleball update:
The demand for pickleball is greater than we ever expected. Here are some things that I am currently working with the Sandy Point Improvement Company Office to implement.
1) Key fob access for hours outside of when the pool is open.
2) Online booking system, with a mobile app. Schedule your court times at PicklePlanner, see availability and more.
3) Court rules and regulations to make it fair and reasonable for everyone and to help avoid confusion.
We have received loads of feedback on this and are working on it. More to come over the next week or two. Please hang in there as we work through the process.
Department of Ecology Mailing
DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY ADJUDICATION MAILING
All of our members have or will receive this mailing.
You do NOT have to fill this out for the water that you receive from Sandy Point Improvement Company.
On page 3 under General Instructions, it states:
IF YOU ONLY USE WATER AS A CUSTOMER OF A WATER SYSTEM (FOR EXAMPLE, YOU PAY A WATER BILL TO A CITY, TOWN, OR PUBLIC WATER SYSTEM) YOU DO NOT NEED TO FILE A COURT CLAIM FOR THAT USE.
SANDY POINT IS A PUBLIC WATER SYSTEM AND IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE.
