RESCHEDULING 2025 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
SANDY POINT IMPROVEMENT COMPANY
NOTICE TO SHAREHOLDERS
RESCHEDULING 2025 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Dear Shareholders:
This notice is to inform you that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sandy Point Improvement Co. originally scheduled for September 27, 2025 is being rescheduled to a later date.
The Sandy Point Improvement Company board of directors received an anonymous letter challenging the notice provided for the AGM. It was pointed out that the AGM Notice of Meeting was provided with only ten (10) days’ notice. While ten days is consistent with the Bylaws and the corporate statute it does not comply with fourteen (14) days’ notice required by the homeowner’s association act. The letter goes onto challenge any action that may be taken at the meeting on September 27, 2025, as proper notice was not provided.
Upon review and consultation with legal counsel, it has been decided that there is merit to the letter and the original meeting notice did not comply with the required 14-day advanced notice. To ensure transparency, fairness, and compliance, the Board has made the difficult decision to reschedule the AGM to a new date so that the proper fourteen (14) day notice can be provided.
Please be on the lookout for a new notice of meeting being sent soon with the details regarding the rescheduled AGM. The meeting will be held with the same format and conduct of business as always is done for the AGM. It will simply be at a bit later date this year.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to comply with a complicated set of procedures. The Board takes these situations very seriously and wants to ensure compliance with state law and fairness.
Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to seeing you at the rescheduled meeting. Please continue to monitor the Sandy Point Improvement Co. website and social media for additional information.
Pickleball Update
Pickleball update:
The demand for pickleball is greater than we ever expected. Here are some things that I am currently working with the Sandy Point Improvement Company Office to implement.
1) Key fob access for hours outside of when the pool is open.
2) Online booking system, with a mobile app. Schedule your court times at PicklePlanner, see availability and more.
3) Court rules and regulations to make it fair and reasonable for everyone and to help avoid confusion.
We have received loads of feedback on this and are working on it. More to come over the next week or two. Please hang in there as we work through the process.

You do NOT have to fill this out for the water that you receive from Sandy Point Improvement Company.
On page 3 under General Instructions, it states:
IF YOU ONLY USE WATER AS A CUSTOMER OF A WATER SYSTEM (FOR EXAMPLE, YOU PAY A WATER BILL TO A CITY, TOWN, OR PUBLIC WATER SYSTEM) YOU DO NOT NEED TO FILE A COURT CLAIM FOR THAT USE.
SANDY POINT IS A PUBLIC WATER SYSTEM AND IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE.
